Friend Education Consultancy offers assistance in registering for the IELTS exam, which evaluates reading, writing, speaking, and listening abilities. Test results are reported on a 9-band scale, providing a comprehensive analysis of language proficiency, with scores ranging from 0 to 9. The IELTS offers two distinct modules: academic and general training. By effectively preparing for the exam and grasping the scoring system, individuals in Nepal can effectively showcase their English proficiency and fulfill their global aspirations.

If you are looking to prepare for the IELTS exam in Nepal, Friend Education has an IELTS course for Rs 7,000.

Format of the IELTS Test

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is offered in two main formats:

Academic Module:

  • This module is suitable for individuals applying for higher education or professional registration in an English-speaking environment.
  • It assesses whether candidates are ready to study or train in the medium of English at an undergraduate or postgraduate level.
  • The Academic Module consists of four sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

General Training Module:

  • This module is appropriate for those planning to undertake non-academic training or gain work experience, or for immigration purposes.
  • It evaluates English language proficiency in a practical, everyday context.
  • The General Training Module also comprises four sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

Both modules have the same Speaking and Listening sections, but the Reading and Writing tasks differ in content and difficulty between the Academic and General Training Modules. Candidates should choose the module that best suits their intended purposes for taking the IELTS exam.
